College: College of Law / Associate Professor – Civil Procedure Law / Major: Specialization: PhD in Civil Procedure Law

• Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Civil Procedure Law.
• Design, update, and deliver course content aligned with contemporary legal developments, judicial practice, and accreditation requirements (CAA).
• Prepare course syllabi, lectures, assessments, and examinations in accordance with approved program specifications and learning outcomes.
• Evaluate student performance fairly using appropriate assessment tools aligned with CLO–PLO mapping.
• Advise and mentor students on academic progression, legal practice skills, and research projects.
• Supervise graduation projects and provide guidance on applied legal research topics.
• Conduct and publish high-quality research in reputable peer-reviewed journals in Civil Procedure Law and related fields.
• Contribute actively to curriculum development, program review, and accreditation processes.
• Participate in departmental and university committees, legal community engagement, and institutional initiatives.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching, research, and legal expertise.

• Report to: Dean of the College of Law
• Subordinates: As assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Ph.D. in Civil Procedure Law or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
• Must hold the academic rank of Associate Professor.
• Strong research record with publications in internationally peer-reviewed journals.
• Experience in supervising graduation projects and/or postgraduate theses.
• Demonstrated engagement in academic service, legal consultancy, or community service (preferred).
• Proficiency in English (teaching, research, and academic writing).

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Strong expertise in Civil Procedure Law, including litigation procedures, evidence, and judicial applications.
• Ability to link legal theory with practical judicial applications.
• Excellent teaching, presentation, and communication skills.
• Competence in legal research, academic writing, and publication.
• Ability to design and deliver outcome-based education aligned with CLOs and PLOs.
• Familiarity with accreditation standards (CAA, OBEF) and quality assurance practices.
• Proficiency in e-learning platforms and student information systems.
• Ability to work effectively within a multicultural academic environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
The position is based at the College of Law and involves a standard academic workload in accordance with university regulations. Teaching is conducted on campus as per the approved timetable. The faculty member is expected to participate in academic meetings, committees, research activities, and community engagement, while adhering to university policies, quality assurance standards, and the academic calendar.
